{"id":1781,"date":"2014-11-06T14:32:01","date_gmt":"2014-11-06T14:32:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.wheatleynurseryschool.org\/?page_id=1781"},"modified":"2025-04-22T18:51:42","modified_gmt":"2025-04-22T17:51:42","slug":"welcome-chair","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.wheatleynurseryschool.org\/?page_id=1781","title":{"rendered":"Welcome from the Chair"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The purpose of the governing body is to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ensure clarity of vision,ethos and strategic direction.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hold the headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Oversee the financial performance of the school and make sure that money is well spent.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To achieve this the governing body meets each term as well as holding regular committee and strategic group meetings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition we hold Governor Days when we all come together to focus on a particular aspect of the schools.
