Visits into Wheatley

We walked down to the village to visit Cornfields Bakery. On the way down we talked about crossing the road safely and the children looked carefully for road signs. We talked about what the signs might mean. As we passed different shops I asked the children if they knew what you could buy from each shop. The children looked for numbers on gates and houses as we walked along the High street.

At the bakery we looked at all the cakes and bread. We bought a loaf of bread and watched as it was sliced by a special machine. When we got back to the nursery we made some toast for a snack.
